Albin Makowski - a lawyer by education, a collector, bibliophile and regionalist by passion, as an active participant in the town's social life, devoted all his life to the passion of collecting memorabilia and relics important for its history and culture. The book is a summary of the museum conference held on the 100th anniversary of A. Makowski's birth presents the collector's achievements and contributions to building the identity of the place where he lived. He testamentary bequeathed his collection to the city, following which it was included in the museum's collection, respecting the donor's wish that it be made available in the collector's flat. Provided with the rich source material, the publication was prepared and edited by Prof. Józef Borzyszkowski and Anna Czapczyk.
