a collection in the art department's collection of 160 objects, bringing together the work of modern classics since 1984. Its creators had the ambition to create a cultural and educational opportunity in a smaller environment in the field of Polish contemporary art, in the form of a nationally representative collection. The collection includes works by artists such as T.Brzozowski, H.Stażewski, J.Maziarska, E.Rosenstein, J.Szajna, J.Stern, M.Wejman, K.Srzednicki, J. Kraupe-Świderska, A. Ryszka, J. Panek, S.Kulon, J. Lebenstein, K. Bereźnicki, M.S. Dawscy, J. Gaj, A. Pietsch, S. Rodziński, C. Rzepiński, H. Rudzka-Cybisowa, A. Myjak. In 2009, based on Prof. Poradowska-Werszler's gift of five textiles by contemporary fibre artists, a separate collection of artistic textiles was separated in the Gallery's collection.
